I am a big fan of the whimsical so this story is right up my street. Unfortunately the minute the narrator, Tracy Higley, started talking I realised I was going to struggle to listen through to the end. She is reading so quickly you get the impression she has somewhere else she needs to be so is trying to get finished as fast as she can. There are places where you want to soak in the picture the author is painting but there is no chance as the narrator has already rocketed on. All in all although I like the story but her delivery is completely ruining my listening experience and instead of feeling calm and relaxed after a listening session I end up feeling cross and disappointed! it makes me wonder if the producer bothered to listen to the finished recording!
