About this listen

I'm Nina Peanut and I'm in my world tour era – ok, so I'm actually just going on an all-inclusive family holiday to a rundown seaside resort, but STILL. And who's that I've just spotted on the next sun lounger over? Only my mortal enemy Megan Dunne, who had told everyone at school she was off to the Maldives ...

Nina Peanut: Book One is a charming, heartfelt read that immediately pulls you into its world with warmth, humor, and a surprising amount of depth. From the very first pages, the story feels inviting, like settling into something familiar yet exciting at the same time. The author does a wonderful job of creating a tone that’s light and approachable while still delivering meaningful moments that stick with you.

One of the strongest parts of this book is its main character. Nina Peanut is memorable, relatable, and full of personality. Her thoughts, reactions, and growth throughout the story feel natural and authentic, making it easy to root for her from beginning to end. Whether she’s facing challenges, navigating relationships, or simply moving through everyday moments, there’s a sense of honesty that makes her feel real rather than fictional.

The pacing of Book One is also very well done. The story flows smoothly, keeping you engaged without feeling rushed or dragged out. Each chapter adds something important—whether it’s character development, world-building, or emotional payoff—so it always feels like you’re moving forward. It’s the kind of book that makes you want to keep reading “just one more chapter,” and suddenly you’re much further in than you planned to be.

Another standout aspect is the writing style itself. It’s clear, expressive, and easy to read, but never boring. There’s a nice balance between descriptive moments and dialogue, which helps bring the scenes to life without overwhelming the reader. The author has a great way of capturing both small, quiet moments and bigger, more impactful ones, giving the story a well-rounded feel.

Overall, Nina Peanut: Book One is a strong and enjoyable start to what feels like a promising series. It has heart, personality, and a solid foundation that leaves you excited for what comes next. Whether you’re looking for a comforting read, an engaging character-driven story, or simply something that’s genuinely enjoyable, this book delivers. Highly recommended, and definitely worth picking up—especially if you’re planning to continue the series.

Liked the story line but old Nina narrator I didn’t understand. Nina is a funny and quirky personality not a croaking old lady who was putting on a bad show.

How Nina was an old lady !!??
