Summary

He returns again. The past still hurts. But his path continues into a new tomorrow.

Su Fang has clawed his way through countless time loops and claimed the spatial fire seed. But behind him lies years of failures, regrets, and unpaid debts. With each death, he comes inches closer to a hard truth: immortality isn’t freedom. It’s responsibility.

To honor those he’s lost and the oaths he still carries, Su Fang must rebuild his foundation, temper his soul, and seek entry into the mysterious Nine Rivers Sect. New bonds will be forged, old wounds will be reopened, and now that he knows power is more than cultivation alone, he will be forced to confront a single question: What kind of life is worth reliving?

Death is a reset. Memory is the weapon. Power is never simple.

it's well written and so interesting but also keeps the thread of the story clear. I can't wait for the next ones. 😊

This is the first installment in the series where the various elements of the story work well together and are well balanced. The MC is slowly getting smarter and no longer acts like a complete village-idiot.

However there are multiple massive plotholes with his reincarnation system that he could easily abuse that the MC seems to be completely overlooking. If the DAO would stop him after trying. it would make sense, but he never even tries. For example:

The MC could just empty his storage bag before each save point to storage bag and then just move them back to storage after loading. This wat he would never lose any consumed resources he had at that point, even if he spent them.

He should make a massive amount of temporary save points before ascending to each ruler tier where the save point is setup is much cheaper than the much larger amount of credits he would gain after each load. He could quickly gains thousands of Billions of credits this way

He could ask the system to teleport him right on top of the seeds, disguise his appearance, name, affiliation, spoof scans, modify ofter people's op blessings etc. since he already has easy access to Billions of credits. Yet he doesn't even upgrade his earlier purchases to core skills with few thousand credit upgrades and refuses to buy the lowsy 9 million credit rank 1 alchemy knowledge about demonic beasts he has been trying to solve 🧐

Best of the books in the series so far with good balance

So this is going to be my last book I'll buy in this series. Overall the story is alright but the problem is that it feels like it's going no where, and this isn't because of the time rewind but the mc. It's just not a series I see going anywhere and it's frustrating cause the foundation of the series is great just not seeing this foundation growing into anything great.

Honestly the main problem is the fact that the mc doesn't try to make any of his lives actually lives and just uses them to progress in his next life. This leads to a story filled with progression but no story, despite the fact that the author has created so many threads the mc can go down to live an actual life instead of a mid maxed life filled purely with progressing his cultivation.
