Having worked my way through a huge selection of books on writing, the good, the bad and the unexceptional, I came to this with my usual skepticism but was absolutely blown away. This short, concise and brilliantly observed book sets it apart from nearly every other. Beautifully narrated by the author whose candour and wit makes it an easy read, it lays to rest some myths and reveals some home truths and the wisdom I have picked up has been invaluable.
