About this listen

Curiosity was discouraged in the Greene tribe. Its members lived out their lives in cramped Quarters, hacking away at the encroaching ponics. As to where they were—that was forgotten.
Roy Complain decides to find out. With the renegade priest Marapper, he moves into unmapped territory, where they make a series of discoveries which turn their universe upside-down ...
Non-Stop is the classic SF story of discovery and exploration; a brilliant evocation of a familiar setting seen through the eyes of a primitive.

This is another great classic Sci Fi story which I first read many years ago. It is a brilliant idea well crafted into a fascinating tale which gradually reveals the truth of the nightmare situation in which the characters find themselves.

The effect though is entirely ruined by the narrator. He reads the text as though English were not his native language; the emphasis and rhythm is all wrong and hopeless for this book. I am about half way through, and still not sure whether my anticipation of the revelatory ending will be offset by the dreadful narration, and I return the book to Audible.
