About this listen

From USA Today bestselling author Pippa Grant comes a rollicking romantic comedy about a single mom and a grumpy math teacher tackling their differences on a Wyoming ranch.

I knew fixing up my life with a fresh start on the hobby ranch I inherited in Hell’s Bells, Wyoming, would come with challenges. Things like snow. Wildlife. Local gossip about why my daughter and I are here.

But the biggest challenge?

My surly new tenant.

He’s like a bear. Fascinating from a distance, but don’t get too close, or he’ll bite.

His personality should be a good thing. I have no need of a new man in my life. But he’s not only my tenant; he’s also my daughter’s math teacher and soccer coach. I keep running into him. He keeps thinking I need to be saved.

Maybe I do, but here’s what I don’t expect: he’s a fixer-upper in need of saving too.

And I might be the only woman for the job.

Hell’s Bells, help me.

Critic reviews

“Forgiveness and acceptance are at the heart of this humorous late coming-of-age romance, which argues valiantly that happy endings don’t require perfection, just love.”Publishers Weekly

Absolutely loved listening to Maisey & Flint's story (special shout out for Earl the Bear too 🤣).
Both narrators, as always, did a fantastic job, and both are excellent at voicing both male & female characters, so there was no jarring voicing of the opposite sex.
I loved this book & will revisit it to listen more than once. Really would love to visit the same town again in future books (mentioning the name of it - likely the first word of the name - seems to be stopping Audible from posting my review, so I've taken the name out). I really hope that this will be Book One of a new series 😊

A very funny romance. All praise to the characters including the animals, which are a hoot.

Good book

I loved this book. It’s about new beginnings while comforting in childhood memories.

Maisey has inherited a ranch from her uncle and when she’s going through a rough divorce she wants an escape. She’s now a single mum with a Tv show past and she needs to start over somewhere fresh.

Flint thinks the ranch Maisey inherited should’ve gone to the town. He wants to dislike her but everything he thought he knew about Maisey is untrue. The person she was on the tv show wasn’t real and Maisey so so much more than he thought.

This book is fun, angsty and adorable.

Only listened up to chapter fourteen. See above review. My ears are bleeding. As well as stupid craving talk about each other and old fashioned sexist descriptions of male/female interest. It's just inappropriate and out dated . I felt this book is not going any where. Where is the interest. Where is the excitement or problems to be solved. Id like to amalgamate two reviews together.
