absolutely loved this book heartbreaking what she had to go through. I've never cried at any books that I've had but this book made me cry so hard it's so sad. I hope she is happy in her new life and has learnt to manage. I highly recommend listening

A well written, superbly narrated harrowing true account of a very brave woman, with a partially feel good ending.

This story highlights the fact that children should be taught in school what is normal and abnormal behaviour in relationships so that they are prepared to pick up signs of abuse in early adulthood and know where to seek help. Had the author had the benefit of such guidance the devastation of so many lives could have been avoided.
