About this listen

The path of immortals is a long one. Jiang doesn't have time to take it slow.

Jiang is a hunter in a quiet village far from the world of sects, spirits, and soaring swords. When powerful bandits destroy his village and steal his family, he resolves to do anything to get them back.

Even become a cultivator.

Jiang has three weeks to ignite his core—a feat that takes most years to accomplish. To actually join the sect, he must impress the elders, and none of them expect anything from a backwater kid faking his age to meet the minimum for admission.

Among immortals, he is a peasant. A child. A nobody. Until his prodigious natural talent becomes as difficult to ignore as his sharp tongue.

He’ll shatter expectations and limits—even if he has to go it alone.

I will say that the story is slow, so if you are looking for something fast paced then this is probably not for you.

The narration is strong. Daniel does an amazing job with the voices and he makes the story engaging.

I do think there could be a bit more information or maybe a pov provided of the mc’s family as it is irritating and stressful to not know anything thru the book.

Would definitely recommend if you enjoy cultivating books.

Good cultivating story

Great start to a new series. Story was well told and the narration was great. The MC is a bit naive but hopefully he wises up a bit more in the next book.

Really Good

I was enjoying it to start with but the moment the mcs family and all the other villagers disappeared i lost interest, I hate it when something is dragged on just to make a story move, especially when the people looking are worse than a mortal hunter despite being many realms above him in strength.

Annoying
