This audiobook was great. I'm a beginner with learning DIY stuff and its been challenging learning on my own intill I received this book. I felt like the book put everything into simpler terms which made it super easy to understand. I'm currently building a shed just in case for survival crisis, and been following step by step with the book.

I learned so much from this book, and I really appreciated how everything is explained one step at a time. When you’re first learning about self-sufficiency, it can feel overwhelming, but the way this book is written made it feel manageable and encouraging. The information is clear and easy to follow, with simple ideas you can start applying right away. I liked that it focuses on building skills gradually instead of trying to do everything at once. After reading it, I feel better about becoming more independent and prepared. I feel this is important to know about, great resource to have in your home.

I’m a 49-year-old insurance agent with four kids (15, 19, 19, and 22). With everything going on in the world, I wanted to be more prepared without turning our lives upside down or spending a fortune.
This audiobook is exactly what I was looking for. It gives clear, step-by-step DIY projects that are realistic for regular families to build rainwater collection units, create simple solar setups, food storage systems, emergency power solutions, and more. Everything is broken down for complete beginners with no prior experience. I’ve already started a couple of the smaller projects with my teens like a basic solar charger and a food rotation system, and it feels achievable instead of overwhelming.
The narrator’s straightforward, encouraging tone makes it easy to follow along during my commute. No extreme “live in the woods” advice. Just practical skills and projects you can do in a backyard or garage in 30 days or less.
If you want to build real self-sufficiency and peace of mind without the stress, this audiobook is excellent. It’s motivating, doable, and gives you actual tools to take control. Highly recommend.

I truly enjoyed it and found myself feeling motivated to start tomorrow without overthinking everything. The tips about saving necessities were honestly awesome. The way it explained simple living, managing resources wisely, and planning ahead made everything feel possible, not overwhelming. For me the world's resources need to be saved now for future generations. That's why I like this book so much.

To be honest, after reading this, I feel more confident, more focused, and ready to take action step by step. I also want to appreciate the narrator who keeps me connected.

OFF-GRID SURVIVAL PROJECTS FOR BEGINNERS by P. Joseph Richards is a proper handy listen if you’re just getting into this sort of thing. It’s laid out nice and clear, so you’re not left scratching your head trying to follow along. The way it builds from basics into real projects makes it feel doable, even if you’re brand new to it.
I liked the bit about building a simple water filter using gravel, sand, and charcoal; it’s explained in a way that makes you think, yeah, I could actually give that a go. It’s not mega detailed in every section, but as a starting guide, it does the job and gives you a bit of confidence to crack on.
