About this listen

After nearly eighteen months at Basgiath War College, Violet Sorrengail knows there’s no more time for lessons. No more time for uncertainty.

Because the battle has truly begun, and with enemies closing in from outside their walls and within their ranks, it’s impossible to know who to trust.

Now Violet must journey beyond the failing Aretian wards to seek allies from unfamiliar lands to stand with Navarre. The trip will test every bit of her wit, luck, and strength, but she will do anything to save what she loves—her dragons, her family, her home, and him.

Even if it means keeping a secret so big, it could destroy everything.

They need an army. They need power. They need magic. And they need the one thing only Violet can find—the truth.

But a storm is coming...and not everyone can survive its wrath.

Loved the story, hated the background music - think it took away from the story and was annoyingly distracting sometimes.

Over produced

I love these so much, I think every book especially those in the fantasy genre should have these adaptations. There were parts where I was a little more focused on the music than the words, but I mean that’s only a minor detail that my brain focused on, overall it’s such a fun experience.

I love dramatized adaptation, especially with my fav book series!

The dramatised version of the Empyrean Series is an utterly extraordinary adventure into the unknown performed perfectly so that the scenes come to life in the most intimate way as if you are truly there. Don’t hesitate… this series is sensational anyway but in this format it’s true treasure!

Dramatic doesn’t describe it!

Okay I lied, you'll be disappointed but only because the second half isn't out yet. The voice cast are brilliant, the story is sizzling, and I really cannot get enough of this series. You won't be sorry you chose to listen to the graphic audio of this book; it's simply insane!!

So, so good, you won't be disappointed

At this point I am trying to find better descriptive words than, pure perfection! Rebecca serves it up and I eat it ALL! The love, the yearning, the devastation, and anguish! The blissfully unexpected reveals and descoveries, the tension of every thought, every choice, every action, has me in a vice...willingly! The graphic audio is like a movie in my mind and I am happy to be overtaken by it! Bring on the pain!😈

Fever pitch!
