This is the second part of Kayla’s story, it takes place about a month after the end of book 1.
Kayla and Nick are together and half the clan is still not comfortable with her. Eric is still pushing the Alpha position,

This is an unusual direction of this storyline. Most alphas are male, big and buff so this one threw me off a bit. Good characters, great performance.

This short novella has some unique aspects to the shifter origins. I didn't read book 1 and maybe I should have. 🤷‍♀️ I did enjoy the storyline and look forward to seeing what's in the next book.

The narrator had a good, clear voice. There were some duplicate sentences that should have been edited out, but that wasn't his fault.
