About this listen

Nightmares are usually kept to dark nights, and deep slumber, but that just isn't so anymore.

Rachel's inner evil—an actual monster within—is set free when she sleeps, and if Adrian wants any chance at figuring out the salvation of Europe, they first must contain the entity Rachel harbors. But you just can't put her down like a zombie. What if that sets the evil free?

But keeping her around, and muting that monster gives Evil a beacon to follow, and makes the annihilation of life with the massed hordes of the undead all the easier.

It's never simple, is it?

But saving a condemned world shouldn't be easy. Not if we want a second chance to do it all better.

Can Adrian stay sane, keep his friends safe, and trek across Germany to find more survivors, and maybe—just maybe—his lost brother Tommy?

Not if Evil has a say, and Evil is speaking up louder and louder with every mile they cross.

For fans of AUD, this installment continues Adrian’s journey through Europe as he searches for a cure for Rachel, works to activate the Trinity to end the zombie apocalypse, and tries to reunite with his brother.

For new readers, there’s a helpful recap of the series about three-quarters of the way through the book, but this is definitely not a standalone. The story unfolds through a mix of diary entries and narratives, offering a unique and engaging storytelling format.

Fair warning: this is part of an ongoing series, so expect a cliffhanger!

This book is a must-read for fans of zombie fiction, post-apocalyptic adventures, morally complex anti-heroes, and epic clashes involving gods and demons. If you enjoy crass humor and unapologetically pissed-off alpha male characters, you’re in for a wild and entertaining ride. Definitely worth picking up!

A great addition to the overall story arc
