About this listen
Loyalty. Family. Power. The Lords of Chaos MC, brothers in arms and blood, are men who take no prisoners. Their moral compass points in whatever direction they choose. So, when the opportunity to gain more money and power presents itself in the form of a favor to a notorious mob family, they accept. To put plans into motion, Noah "Ace" Murphy, Sergent at Arms of the Lords, visits his brother “Dragon” in prison. He gives him the task of killing a DEA snitch who’s under protection there. On his way home later that night, Ace meets a young man fleeing for his life half-naked and terrified. Kenshin Yamoto just escaped the grips of hell, but he isn’t safe yet. With one look into Kenshin’s beautiful brown eyes, Ace knows he’s hooked. He also knows that he’s going to make sure whoever hurt Kenshin, will pay… and it won’t be painless… or quick. After his visit with his brother, Ace, Diego "Dragon" Murphy starts preparing for a mission he knows he can't afford to fail. Killing is what Dragon excels at and he never misses his mark. But taking lives isn’t the only thing he enjoys. When he gets a new cellmate, Dragon is determined to get the man into his bed. Richard Harrison is everything Dragon desires and more, but he’s playing hard to get by claiming he’s straight. Something Dragon won’t hesitate to prove wrong with a simple bet.
In this electrifying tale of crime and passion, alliances are created and destroyed through the pursuit of money and power. Loyalty, Family, and love will be put to the test. "The Road to Carnage Series” will take you on a wild ride through the savage world of outlaws. You're going to want to strap in, this adventure isn't for the faint of heart. These men play by their own rules and no games.
This book is a part of a series where the story evolves as new characters are introduced. HFN/HEA. Not a standalone.

The audiobook was narrated by Keith Folz, who is a new-to-me narrator. He did a fantastic job with the narration and the performance was dynamic and well done. I loved listening to this book.

One is Dragon and Richard who are sharing a prison cell. Richard being a little more clueless thinks he can buy his way through the downside of prison. He finds money doesn’t carry the weight he believed it should. He also finds he is a little more attracted to Dragon that he wants to be.
The other story concerns Ace and Kenshin. This is a instant attraction story. Ace is bent of revenge for how Kenshin was treated. The only problem is the abuser is a cop.
I found these stories separately good. I’m not sure why the author puts two stories in one book. I also appreciated the warnings even though I like dark stories but what I didn’t like is I feel the book ended on a cliffhanger. Nothing was stated that it is a cliffhanger. I know it’s the first in the series so I expected at least resolution for now but I don’t feel it did even that. The best part is the narration by Keith Folz. The characters came to life with this narration but it still didn’t change the ending.

I was won over by both the main protagonists and the supporting characters. The life around the club is excellently fleshed out and I liked that the club is family oriented.
The chapters in the prison were interesting as well. I liked the development of Diego and Richard's story.
The story is exciting, at times dark with violence and angst and then there are steamy moments. The end is suddenly here and now I am very curious about the next volume!
Keith Folz did a good job. It was a pleasure to listen to him with his raspy voice. It was easy to distinguish the many different characters.
I requested a free copy of the audiobook and this is my honest opinion that I am volunteering
