As the parent of a PDA child myself, it's so reassuring to hear about someone with almost exactly the same experiences; none of my friends and relatives are like this, so it's easy to feel alone... MT Steph for lots of helpful advice and encouragement and for the positive approach. Thank you for sharing your story. I’m at the beginning of my journey with my 6 year old daughter and feel like I’m drowning in theories and jargon. I find some (most) of the books on autism so difficult to read/listen/take in. This was a clear summary of some of the struggles I face and the fear I have over championing my volcanic little genius going forward.

Steph’s insight into her family and how they operate with a high anxiety PDAer in their midst is honest and informative. Her recollection of events throughout her daughters childhood and her ‘with hindsight’ commentary on them has helped me to realise some of our own events and to think of how I can refocus and meet my daughters needs. She has reaffirmed some of my parenting and life choices and whilst all PDAers are different, through her telling of her own journey it has further cemented that we are not alone. Thank you Steph for your honesty and helpful insight, your sign posting and understanding and for providing all of this in such an accessible way.

I liked the clarity and detail of the book. As a dad of a pdaer I can honestly relate 100% to this book and can back the aproaches and accuracy of the joys struggles and realities of parenting a pdaer. If you are at the start of your jouney this is be a great book to get to grips with the type of things you as a family are dealing with.
