About this listen

The 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai offer a rare picture of the ties between Pakistan’s intelligence service and the militant group Lashkar-i-Taiba. The trail of two key figures, an accused Pakistani mastermind and his American operative, traces the rise of a complex, international threat.

Editor reviews

Originally part of a Propublica.org article, Pakistan and the Mumbai Attacks: The Untold Stories is an uncommon look at a tragic world-changing event. Gray Dikeos executes the narration of this weighty report with the extreme professionalism of a nightly news anchor.

This report seeks to give a full picture of the violent attack on the Mumbai in 2008, by using vital information gained by Indian, and US intelligence agencies about the events of the three day long siege. Furthermore it seeks to highlight connections between Lashkar-i-Tabai - a Pakistan based militant organization - to Pakistan's own intelligence service the I.S.I.

Short but well informed and interesting. The narrator attempted to do different accents but failed miserably...

Narrator shouldn't attempt accents

A country that’s perfected the art of proxy war. Honing the tactics in Afghanistan with the help of US then pivoted to Kashmir with less success through its not so secret service & jihadist proxies has continued to be in the news since these events. It has not reigned in its proxies especially in Kashmir as recents events (2025) show. However, this is an interesting tale of events that transpired in the glare of world media as intended.
The one funny thing that stands out is the amateurish attempt at Pakistani, Indian and French accents by the narrator. Couldn’t help laughing.

Comical accents

The tone is far too aggressive for my liking. He needs to calm down and tell what happened without so much prejudice...not easy I know if it's his second language.

Terrible Narration
