Murder at leisure?

London, 1888: Susannah rushes into marriage to a young and wealthy surgeon. After a passionate honeymoon, she returns home with her new husband wrapped around her little finger. But then everything changes.

Most relevant
Could have been a really good book, but, for some reason, I found it to be an arduous listen. Maybe because I didn’t like the main character very much, or that pretty much every character in the book is unlikeable, at least the fictional ones. The descriptions of body parts and dissection gets wearing, not in an offensive way, just in a ‘oh here we go again’ type way. It just starts to feel like you might have better things to do in life than depress yourself listening to this.

I listen to this over three days. Very enjoyable, well narrated and a brilliant take on the Jack the Ripper mystery. Well worth a listen.
