I love that this books makes the point that we often are taught how to look after other people’s money (taxes, etc) but not our own.

A great guide for young persons just starting out in life. Practical tips and even includes free templates to put what is learnt into practice.

One of my favourite things about this book, is the approach that it’s not too early to think about retirement, how in fact starting earlier in life with good money habits can help prepare you for test time.

Great narrator too.

Would highly recommend.

As this book states, this is not taught enough in schools, but is critical for survival. Especially for younger people, the sooner we learn the better. Live below instead of above our means. Avoid credit card use when possible. Budget or else you are planning to fail. Spend less than you earn. Have an emergency budget.

These are just a few examples of the ideas that are packed into this book. It also teaches an attitude that we need to adopt in order to have control of our finances. From shopping habits to realizing your dreams, the financial life we choose starts with the right education. This book is a great start.

In my opinion, schools don't teach kids enough about managing personal finance and it leaves many young adults with poor financial skills. This is why I recommend this book to parents and young adults to give them a basic understanding of budgeting, saving and dealing with debt. This knowledge will go a long way and set them up for a better future. Great book.
