This book provides excellent examples of how other people and companies can easily exploit you without your knowledge. I have experienced some of these techniques. Read this book so you don’t get fooled easily by slick marketing. Very practical.

Anderson has done a great job helping people identify when they are being manipulated and how to defend against it. First he shows studies that PROVE you are being manipulated even when you think you are enough smart to avoid it. Next he described the countermeasures, which almost always consists of understanding that this is a trick, so you need not respond the way you have been taught as good manners.
