After witnessing Astaroth being imprisoned by Kafziel, his daughter Elysia and son Byleth set off to finding the key to set him free. Under the request of stopping this by Kafziel, Kenan undergoes a week of training to become a time mage. With the aid of Kafziel's limousine driver Gordon Stone and his demon girlfriend Asmodeus, they set off to Heaven to warn the angels of an incoming assault led by Elysia and Byleth. During a moment of negotiations led by Kenan it was discovered that he was possessed by a demon called a Shakin. Because of this, doubt began to come into Kenan's mind about Kafziel which led him to having Astaroth released by the archangel Raphael. With Astaroth released, Kenan and the others set off to return to Kafziel's mansion. What will happen during this conflict? Find out in this tale of White is the New Black.

This audiobook throws you straight into a chaotic supernatural war filled with fallen angels, demons, time magic, betrayal, and shifting loyalties. What I enjoyed most was the sheer ambition of the story. It doesn’t play safe. The world feels large, unpredictable, and packed with mythology-inspired characters who all seem to carry hidden motives beneath the surface.

Kenan’s journey from reluctant trainee to someone caught between Heaven, Hell, and manipulation was genuinely compelling, especially once the revelation about the Shakin possession came into play. That moment added real tension and made the conflict feel more psychologically layered rather than just another fantasy battle between good and evil.

The dynamic between Gordon Stone and Asmodeus also brought a different energy to the story. There’s something oddly entertaining about a limousine-driving ally moving through a world of celestial warfare and demonic politics. It gives the audiobook personality.

The narration helped keep the pace moving during the more lore-heavy sections, and once the final conflict begins building, the story gains serious momentum. Fans of dark fantasy, anime-inspired storytelling, supernatural warfare, and morally grey characters will likely enjoy this a lot.

A bold, imaginative continuation that leaves you wanting to know where the battle goes next.
