Summary

School trips are hell on the teachers.

Auguste Patterson’s happy place on a winter holiday would involve a seat by a fire, a good book, and alcohol. Which is why he’s horrified when the headmaster at the primary school where he teaches demands he accompany a group of young students to France on a skiing trip. Gus believes snow should always be viewed from inside a warm building and never encountered while flailing on skis.

The holiday’s single perk is also the one reason Gus has for liking sports—the school’s PE teacher, Doug Henshaw. Doug is Gus’s secret crush, and sharing a room at the ski chalet with him almost makes managing forty school children bearable. But Gus doesn’t stand a chance with Doug. A handsome, funny ex-professional football player would never fall for a hopelessly unathletic language teacher. Would he?

I love Lily Morton’s stories. This one was short but still told a complete and interesting story. Joel Leslie did a wonderful job performing it. There were several different accents and I loved listening to all of them.

Witty, snarky and fun!

Teachers in LOVE 😍😍😍
Sweet quick novella
Lower heat

Adored this. Lily Morton continues to impress me. A small part of me wishes I had eye read this as I'm not massive Joel Leslie fan but regardless I'm not mad I listened to the audio. What more can you want? Two teachers falling for each other and realising that while chaperoning a school ski trip, thank you!

This is the second book in the series. These need to be read in order.

Kenny and Aaron are much more intense in this part of the story. I enjoyed getting more into their backgrounds and what they are willing to give up for each other.

The bad part is waiting on the next part. Even though this ends at a HFN, this author knows how to stop at a point that makes me grit my teeth wanting to get the rest of the story.

Auguste is a languages instructor in a primary school. This is fine right up until the moment he’s tapped to chaperone a school ski trip to France. The only upside is he’ll be bunking with his serious crush – physical education instructor Doug. The problem? Gus is possibly the least coordinated person on the trip – and at least one kid is giving him a run for his money. So the question is – how will Gus survive the humiliation of being unable to ski while having a massive crush on an unattainable coworker.

This is a fun and typical Lily Morton story and I just love it. The humor shines through at every turn and I’m so glad I listened. I also got my happy ending, so that was cool.

Joel Leslie was, as always, amazing. He and Lily were meant to work together and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

Gus is absolutely unathletic and is paired with the school's athletic coach, Doug.
Both are attracted but neither one thinks they're the others type.
An accident prone student has them banding together to keep him safe.
I loved the snarky banter between them and they were absolutely adorable together.
Joel Leslie did an amazing job narrating and bringing these two characters to life.

Great holiday romance
