I do not want to give too much away except to say that Marti Shane has created fascinating protagonists for this story. Sam is amazingly strong and equally vulnerable. Jake is an alpha man but also sensitive and flawed. Additionally, the supporting characters also have a lot of depth which is great because there are more books in this series featuring some of these characters. Can't wait to hear them!
