FROM AUSTRALIAN AUTHOR CASSANDRA DOON, COMES A FUNNY, WITTY, AND DIABOLICAL ROMCOM. ONE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU WONDERING "WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THE TOWN FOLK OF LANCASTER EAT FOR DINNER."

Genie Alden runs the quaintest little skincare shop in Lancashire—if you ignore the tarot cards, the Death card's morning greetings, and her product line featuring Belladonna.

Business is booming, especially her special consultations for women who need more than just a good moisturizer. Let's just say some problems require... creative solutions.

Then Ciarán walks into her life: Irish butcher, walking temptation, and a man who knows exactly where to cut for maximum impact. He's got secrets darker than her eyeliner and hands that tell stories she's dying to hear.

But when mysterious strangers start asking questions and bodies start causing complications, Genie realizes her perfectly organized chaos might be spiraling out of control.

Good thing she's got magic, sarcasm, and a few tricks up her sleeve that would make her witch ancestors cackle with pride.

Some bottles are prettier than others. Some secrets are deadlier than most.

Poison is always in the Prettiest Bottle is a Romcom based in Lancashire England. This book does touch on some themes like murder, and cannibalism. If these subjects bother you please refrain from listening.

Killing people for the right reasons. Definitely some intrigue. Three hot butchers an English man an Irish man and a Scottish man. Sounds like a joke. The accents took a little bit of getting used to. Was super good. Loved the modern day witch. Thought it was great, definitely recommend.

This book is so dark on every level. Dark magic, dark humour, dark romance and just dark.

Chapter one literally had me howling in laughter in with the labels names etc but that is just the tip of the iceberg. I can't say much more without giving away the whole thing. I can't wait for the rest of this series now.

I absolutely loved the writing and storyline of this book! It was very interesting and refreshing to read and I thoroughly enjoyed every second! Narration wise I usually am not a fan when you have dual pov read by the same person throughout the book and I still feel that way 100% (this book would be a 5 star if it was a duet!) but the female narrator’s attempt at the mmc’s voices wasn’t terrible and the accent was believable.

Loved. Wish it was a duet though!
