Kian Walker has always been the golden boy of motorsport. The four-time Championship winner has racing in his DNA – his father was a legend on the track, just don’t let him catch you comparing the two. As reckless and unreliable at home as he was behind the wheel, there’s nothing Kian wants less than to be just like his dad.

Enter Harper James. This year’s rookie called up to compete with the big boys – and Kian’s new teammate. Cocky, hot-headed and with a reputation for breaking as many hearts as he does new track records, Harper’s the opposite of Kian in every way. But when the season starts, there’s no getting away from him.

This might be one of the most dangerous sports in the world, so why then does Kian’s heart feel safer flying around the track at 220mph than when he's anywhere near his teammate?

Good story and good pace. Both narrators excellent. The only thing I found as a gay man was that some of the sex scenes a bit OTT and over dramatised. Apart from that it’s cool.

Good but could be better.

Half of the problems in this book would be solved is Kian just advocated for himself. It was really frustrating. I enjoyed this up until I had about 30% left then it all just left apart. The crash was so obviously going to happen that it wasn't the heartbreaking tension causing scene the it was intended to be.

The fact that both of them could articulate their feelings in their heads yet could say a word of those to each other was so annoying and badly done. They were both emotionally unintelligent and had zero common sense yet the writer was try to make them seem like they weren't completely dumb. It didn't feel real. One second Harper knew what he was talking about because he'd been to therapy yet the next he's back to being toxic. And Kian needed therapy just as much as Harper did.

Why wasn't the emotional neglect Kian suffered given as a trigger warning. As someone who's been through it, I don't appreciate fictional parents being allowed to get away with it by their behaviournot being acknowledged.

Wow a third act break up, what an original plot idea that totally isn't lazy at all. The same tension could've been created in different ways. They getting back together was sweet though and I did enjoy them getting outed not ruining their lives.

Normally I cringe myself out of existence with spicy audiobooks, but I didn't with this one which I enjoyed. The narrators did such a good job of the whole book.

I want there to be a second book showing Harper's second season and how he and Kian work through what happened at the beginning of their relationship.

I don't know if I loved this or hated it.

Love this super cute and spicy at times. Classic enemies to lovers plot which I love.

Audio quality was low at some small point but not enough to distract
