My name is Presto, and I am a still a ghost. I came to London as a penniless orphan from Athy, Ireland. Now I am in Queen Elizabeth's personal Secret Service. I am to accompany her Earl of Essex — the new Lord Deputy of Ireland, as he tries to put down a rebellion that has spread across the island in 1599. Through many treacherous perils, I will accompany the two Rebel Chieftains – Hugh Roe O’Donnell, and Hugh O’Neill – the Earl of Tyrone, as they prepare to do battle with my Earl’s English and Royal armies.
