About this listen

Stabbings. Rapes. Murders. This is maximum-security.

Get ready to experience the real-life drama from behind the walls of one of the country’s worst maximum-security facilities. Experience horrific assaults, bloodthirsty murders, and the kind of drama that needs to be heard to be believed.

Simon King shares a raw and uncensored look beyond the razor wire, giving you the opportunity to see how life really runs inside a place filled with those the society would rather forget.

Prison Days: The First Six Months, the complete collection, brings together the first six books in the series. If you enjoy listening to stories about raw real-life crime that isn’t found on any news program, then you will love Prison Days.

I found this so fascinating I hit replay straight away! Narrated expertly with a lovely tone so easy to listen to. Ready for book 2 now as I am so in awe of the kind of person who commits so much to those committed

Descriptive insight into the world behind the walls

I found this book informative and could visualise the characters and their personalities clearly.
I have a new found empathy level for these guards who take their life in their hands daily.
Some funny dairy days in this as well as some sad (Brock abused his power entirely and should be inside himself in my view)
Some of the inmates just seem like lost souls whilst others manipulate everything and anything they can.
Overall a really enjoyable listen.
I will definitely listen to more from this writer

These books truly show all sides of human beings, eye opening how resourceful too, the ongoing cat and mouse prison system between criminals and officers. Im definitely sure how unsuccessful prisons are.

Disgustingly honest! Laugh out loud funny

Listening to an American read a book from an English perspective with English slang is painful, I’m sure they could’ve found someone more suitable. Otherwise the book is okay, some of it written a bit shoddy and with some needless detail where not needed, as if by a high school student for GCSES getting their simile quota.

I’m sure they could’ve found a British VO
