I did find this book fascinating as I had not heard of Anne Askew before. She really had a very difficult life but a lot of it was her own making do to her refusal to change her views.
The narration by Ruth Redman was one of the best narrations I have ever come across. She made the story so easy to listen to.
The downside if there was one were all the prayers in Latin. However, Anne was a preacher of the gospel so it was to be expected.
A very sad story with an insight into the dreadful control religious groups had on women in particular and the cruelty inflicted during the reign of Henry V111.
