I listened to this to understand what all the fuss was about in terms of the role that Project 2025 has in the Trump/Republican agenda. I have to say I was wholly underwhelmed. First of all, this audiobook is one of the worst produced I have listened to. There are some fluffs that are not edited and there are whole chapters which are repeated. This is made harder to spot because the book itself is SOO repetitive; to the extent that I thought either it was a repeat or I had accidentally rewound the recording. Even in the text that was not duplicated, the repetition involves the same thing being said (in slightly different ways) three times - literally. Equally, the few policy ideas that are described get repeated in multiple chapters so if you did not understand it the first time, you get another four or five runs at it so you can get it right.

If you were to cut out the repeated chapters and the endless repetitiveness of the text you could cut 50% of this book.

On the point of content, I was surprised how limp the substance was. My first degree was in Economics and the actual detail of Project 2025 is almost entirely a retread of 1980s economics. Almost every example of previous successful cases were from Reagan, Thatcher, or Australian and New Zealand PMs. Milton Friedman gets a resuscitation. It is tired stuff.

I don't share the politics, I certainly don't share the logic and I certainly don't share the poor standards.

Shoddily produced and massively repetitive
