Life rarely stands still when you surround yourself with old folk with more energy than a sugar-fueled toddler, and for Jack Tate, well, he wouldn’t have it any other way. The Lonely Heart Attack Club was going from strength to strength, and the gang were eager to sink their (false) teeth into their next challenge.

After seeing first-hand the benefits that internet access has brought to a couple of simpletons like Ray and Grandad, the team set their sights on providing tablet computers to those in the community that would benefit from them the most. However, that would take a serious amount of dosh, so they would need to double their fundraising efforts.

Unfortunately, it would appear that not everyone was on board with the charitable work, and a serious error in judgement threatened to undo all of their good work and leave the charity in ruins. Still, they were a resilient bunch, and they’d fight on, regardless. And the perfect way to drag yourself through a crisis? Another world record attempt, of course!

This is such a great story of what community means.

I really like books by author J.C Williams and Chris Devon is a fantastic narrator.

The mischief that Jack gets up too in this listen is hilarious, his wife knows trouble follows him in an innocent way 😂

I think every community needs a club for the older generation. This is the 3rd book in the series and it was still laugh out out loud funny 😂

I was so surprised by the fabulous song that was sung by Florence, that it moved me. I had tears flooding down my face, it is so rare for me to cry!
The fact it is available in real life to stream is amazing and special that the proceeds are being donated to a Hospice and the NHS.
