Garcelle Beauvais
Summary
A story she's been wanting to tell—and one her fans have been waiting to hear.
Garcelle Beauvais has spent decades in the public eye: on runways, on sets, on red carpets, and on one of the most-watched reality franchises in television history. She has been celebrated, scrutinized, underestimated, and respected. And through all of it, she kept showing up—for her career, for her sons, for her friendships, for the rooms that didn't always make space for her. Now, in her own voice, Garcelle tells the story behind the most important decision she ever made—choosing herself.
Written and narrated by Garcelle, Protecting My Peace: At ALL Costs is intimate, unfiltered, and unmistakably her. She traces her journey from a childhood in Haiti to the runways of New York; from the early years of a Hollywood career, she built with discipline and grace to her time on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills—and the moment she walked away.
She speaks about raising three sons as a single mother and what that love taught her about herself. She speaks about friendship—what it looks like when it's real, what it costs when it isn't, and what it means to let go of someone who no longer chooses you back. She speaks about race, identity, and what it means to walk into rooms as a Black Haitian woman and refuse to leave any part of yourself at the door.
And most crucially, she speaks about peace—not as a destination, but as a daily, deliberate practice. The kind that requires you to trust your instincts, honor your boundaries, and choose yourself even when it's hard.
Especially when it's hard.

I learnt a lot about Garcelle, her past - before RHOBH, and how the journey affected her. I didn't expect to cry, to feel such empathy for this person I don't know.
This is so much more than a biography. It's a book about going through really hard stuff, normal difficult stuff, unbelievable stuff. I can relate to her as a mom. As a person.
This was a story I didn't know I needed. Because right now I am going through some really hard times, because of difficult people. Garcelle has given me some words of wisdom, some ideas on how to put the work in so that when my situation resolves, I am still the person I recognise. Someone I'm happy to see looking back at me in the mirror.
She is raw, honest, doesn't flinch away from talking about the deeply personal and painful. Her joy. Her pride. Her love. I feel a renewed sense of inspiration.
This was a story I didn't know I needed to hear.
