About this listen

Return to the City of Sin, where the final game is about to begin...and winning will demand the ultimate sacrifice.

Only days after a corrupt election and brutal street war, one last bloodthirsty game has begun. The players? The 22 most powerful, notorious people in New Reynes.

After realizing they have no choice but to play, Enne Scordata and Levi Glaisyer are desperate to forge new alliances and bargain for their safety. But while Levi offers false smiles and an even falser peace to the city’s politicians, Enne must face a world where her true Mizer identity has been revealed...and any misstep could turn deadly.

Meanwhile, a far more dangerous opponent has appeared on the board, one plucked right from the most gruesome legends of New Reynes. As the game takes its final, vicious turn, Levi and Enne must decide once and for all whether to be partners or enemies.

Because in a game for survival, there are only losers....

And monsters.

I didn't mind the narrator, but I didn't like that they changed it on the final book. I much preferred the previous narrator, as she did the accents better. However, the story was amazing as always.

Narrator change questionable

I really enjoyed this book! The plot was well thought out and kept me listening until the very end. I also lived the ending as well. It was nice to have multiple chapters to conclude the story - It just felt right. I definitely plan to reread this entire series as I already miss the characters.

The performance by the narrator took some getting used to as the characters had a much softer feel to them. I thought it was fine but I would have prefer there to be no change to the narrator.

Overall, this book was enjoyable and a lovely conclusion to a wonderful series!

Lovely Ending!

Obviously if you enjoyed the other two, you'll definitely want to read this book.

Just a quick heads up, there is a different narrator, which at first was a bit jarring but you do get used it and eventually forget.

I think Amanda Foody does a great job at creating deeply flawed characters, and out of the series, this os my favourite as it is equally plot and character driven.
Usually I'm not such a big fan of so many perspectives but it was built up and felt very series-esque

It wasn't flawless, at times repetitive but the story was so good, with characters who I'll be thinking about long after I read more books, it deserves a 5 star from me.

Great Trilogy

The previous narrator was better, but shes still good. Great ending to a great trilogy.

Plots on plots on plots. Great twists and turns

I enjoyed the story from start to finish. And although I enjoyed this narrator less than the previous one, it's well told and a good finaly to a long journey.

nicely wrapped up
