I love watching David Millar as commentator and pundent on the Tour de France and this book gives you more insight into why he has such a great wealth of knowledge and is such a engaging sports personality. This story of his life as a professional cyclist, gives you an interesting account into what it meant to be in a professional sport where morals and support were none existent and swept under the carpet, to come back and want to make change from cheating, his knowledge and how he helped change the sport makes his story one to listen to. Good narration and a lot of heart felt moments that had me a little teary at times. Great for any sport enthusiast, cycling lover or someone who likes real life stories.

Gritty thought provoking and honest. A great book about a great cyclist. Much to ponder on. I hope similar magnificent talents are better supported in the current era.

David Millar makes a Frank intelligent and amazing life story here. I particularly like his early days of racing. Best book I have ever read on the pro cycling scene.

This book was spoiled for me by the narrator reading, throughout the entire book, in an inappropriate, breathless fashion, pausing every few words as if every sentence was some sort of climax. Disappointing treatment of an otherwise excellent book.

From the moment I started I was engrossed. Utterly compelling, to the point where I forgave the narrator's dodgy accents!
