it just gets better and more intriguing with every chapter... the idea (wherever its origin) that time is related to heat just amazes me with seeming simplicity. Prepare to listen closely and be wide eyed!

This was a lovely explanation of some very complicated ideas, with a bit more history and philosophy of science then I was expecting.
There were definitely parts where I rolled my eyes at the latest mention of a Greek philosopher. But I still came away with a better understanding of the many ideas introduced, and I enjoyed the explaining

Loop quantum gravity is clearly an emerging and challenging view. This book serves as a terrific introduction to the subject while anchoring the development of the subject to history of scientific breakthrough down the ages. Time will tell (if time actually exists) whether this view proves to be the best fitting theory. I highly recommend this book.
