I loved the story but also the geographic references to Liverpool. I'm looking forward to getting to know the characters, and enjoyed the thought of further back story for each. the plot was well paced and struck the right balance of pathos and funny. I liked that the netherworld fits in with this one without too much pearl-clutching or disbelief. :)

Strangely relatable and thoroughly enjoyable. It’s unlike anything else. I’m not usually a fan of supernatural stuff but this is written in a way that pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. So excited for the rest of the series.
