second time round and very much enjoying the Strikeback's. well rounded characters and I like Mr Ryan's writing style. narration suits them well and adds to the overall experience. fast paced and edgy, just how I like 'em!

Brilliant story as usual from Chris Ryan keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout

Probably a 5 star book but compared to his other books it’s a 4star read. Enjoyable, but not his best. Saying that I will read the next one as soon as it comes out.

There was a few times it seemed like he was trying to meet a word count for the day, for example instead of saying grabbed a breakfast in the hotel he goes into painful detail about every item in the plate, irrelevant to the story.

Also feels like there is paid branding in the book, goretex gets an unreasonable and uncomfortable amount of mentions. Which for me, took me out of the story and had me Googling if it was a declared sponsorship deal.

Worth a read but...

A good book, not the best Chris Ryan novel I have read, Jock & his mucker still make for a great story but I think it’s now time to hang up theirs boots..
