About this listen

An Epic Cultivation Progression Fantasy series by Spaizzzer, the #1 bestselling author of Tree of Aeons.

His end is the start of a new path.

Tundra Fox, a cultivator of immense power and Sect Master of the Verdant Snow Sect, faces an eldritch god from beyond and dies.

But that's only where his story begins.

A time-artifact sends his soul back 10,000 years, when he was still in the earlier years of growing his Sect. With a second chance, Tundra will try to prevent family deaths, conflicts, and hopefully, try to raise descendants that don't become arrogant young masters.

Don't miss the start of this new Xianxia Fantasy series by Spaizzzer, the bestselling author of Tree of Aeons. The series features cultivation, base-building, alchemy, and usual regressor awesomeness, all paired with a unique premise of finding enlightenment in family life instead of alchemy and solitary cultivation.

I suspect not everyone will like this book, but the people who like it will really like it, as I did. A man at the apex of power, who retains much of what made him so powerful, but now has to try and learn to lift up others instead of just himself. he's.....terrible at it, but in fairness. his family aren't doing a good job either. The story moves and builds slowly, but I found myself fascinated by every small movement.

What a place to end the book!!! I almost wish I didn't discover this series for a few years so I could devour it all at once. I hope to see book 2 soon!

Excellent if it's your cup of tea

I love basically every part of the story, if I could say one thing that I would have preferred more of that would be the mc learning something new about cultivation that he didn't focus on in his past life, for example formations. This would add a way for the mc to advance despite already doing so in his past life just in a different way. Otherwise I'm really enjoying the story and am really looking forward to the next book and finding ingredients out hiw the mc will develop his family and possible future relationships.

Amazing

The idea and premise were very interesting, and had potential. But the writing itself is flawed. It’s incredibly repetitive within the same scene, and sometimes the same sentence, repeating actions, thoughts and even conversation beats. Yet it’s also disjointed, indicating the characters are in the middle of doing something but a sentence later they are about to do that same thing. (The second scouting mission over Dragon Spine Mountain is just one example). Also conversations jump about in a strange manner. It needs a rewrite to tidy it all up.

Edit: having read more, there is a definite mismatch within-scenes. During an alchemy session with the sect master, he is the one pill refining. Then part way through it’s the observing disciple suddenly working on a pill with advice from Tundra but with thoughts as if she’s still just observing. It feels as if the writer has never once proofread their work and only wrote a few sentences every so often, causing them to forget the focus of any given scene.

Interesting but poorly executed
