The producer of the audiobook is an award-winning sound designer and composer. When he and his wife struggled with sleep apnea, he searched for an audio program that would help. "I mostly found cheap sound effects with repetitive, looping tones. Granted, my background makes me a little picky, but I found these programs more annoying that relaxing."

So he set out to record the best sounds he could find. The ocean waves, rain, thunder, streams and waterfalls are all original recordings.

Next, he experimented with tones. This program is the first to include arrangements of beautiful classical music. "I have produced over twenty experimental programs now and have had sleep doctors, patients, as well as my own friends and family members try them on. I'm very pleased with this series so far. I plan to purchase all 4 volumes of these Nature sounds programs. I'm finding that they truly do induce sleep. Yes, there's a lot of programs out there but having 20 hours on Audible is rare. The recordist is ace at producing relaxing sounds.
