About this listen

This vampire messed with the wrong girl.

I used to call myself a witch, shifter, and vampire slayer. Now I'm none of those things.

I thought I was doing the right thing by killing Valkas, the original vampire and eye of the storm. But I played right into Matias Vayne's hands. His magic is back, but he's taken the rest of ours in his plot to gain power and "purify" the world.

Innocent lives are on the line. I'll do anything to save them and restore our magic, but first I must face the most powerful man alive without any power of my own. It's an impossible mission, but I have to go through with it—or die trying.

New narration updated April, 2023.

The Vengeance and Vampires series comes to a thrilling conclusion in this dark, fast-paced urban fantasy novel. Experience the enchanting finale and order today!

I wouldn’t mind listening to this story again so it wasn’t so hard it was off-putting but the story was developing and the group is brainstorming their options and then gathering the army and tactics they need to overcome the dire outcome of Matias having cut off everyone’s magic, thus making himself some kind of overlord or god to play director, judge, jury and executioner.
Valkas being destroyed almost felt like a bad move, though it was always gonna come to this after how Rachels meeting with Matias had ended back at the cave/end of book 2.
But while the group is busy working out their thing, it felt like they definitely did not have enough time to gather all they would need before all of a sudden there’s this catalyst that kinda starts of the final war they faced. But the very captivating and movie-like writing kinda felt of another caliber than the group *could* have gotten to in so short of a period. But, like I already mentioned, it was still an entertaining story and I enjoyed it without the irritation a reader can have when things feel (too) off.

Entertaining though it felt rushed at some point
