About this listen

Noah and his allies continue to grow stronger, but so do their enemies.

Inquisitors are hot on Lee’s tail. Though she managed to defeat the latest one, victory came at the cost of Azel’s life … and the inquisitors are far from their greatest threat.

Wizen continues his advance toward Arbitage. His goals are still unknown, but he’s powerful enough that even Renewal and Decras acknowledge his strength—and the threat he poses Noah’s group.

Ancient plans are coming to fruition, and they're centered around the last person anybody would have suspected.

Book five of the next hit progression fantasy series from Actus, bestselling author of My Best Friend Is an Eldritch Horror. Featuring a strong, intelligent protagonist, a detailed runic magic system, loads of power progression, and so much more.

I think this is the first book in the series that didn't overdo the character stereotypes and comedic distortions. It's the first time I could take the plot seriously.

The plot progressed a little more slowly, but with more depth. Fewer power ups I think, but the developments and comedy were more satisfying.

If all the books continue like this, we're golden.

Maybe the fact that Lee acted more like a person played a part in me liking this book more than the previous ones.

As for the last few hours of the book, I wasn't expecting it to go exactly like that, but it was a refreshing surprise and I look forward to seeing how the new moving parts continue.

best so far

Meh, the last 5 hours are decent, the rest is boring and inconsistent filler. I'd only recommend it as a last choice to keep absolute boredom at bay. Unfortunately it's still quite boring.
