About this listen

Amelia

Lego sets, Star Trek and junk food in my pajamas, these used to be how I would spend my safe and lazy days off. Now, what am I doing with my time? High-speed chases, running from Hellhounds, fighting witches, opening boxes that threaten the entire Vampire race, and stabbing bitches with my shoes.

But hey, at least I get to wear a pretty dress on my date. Now all I can hope for is that it isn’t one where people end up shooting at us again. That would be nice.

And all this was because I fell in love with a Vampire King. A Vampire King, who claimed me.

Enjoyed this book very much - surprised at the change of narrator and found it a tad harder to get into at the start, but still enjoyed.

Fabulous listen

The narrator was flat making the performance boring. As the book progressed she got slightly better but I found myself distracted during this entire book.

I'm really sorry to give this book such a low rating but WHY? WHY was the narrator changed? I felt like I was listening to Alexa reading this story. I'm sorry to say but this narrator made the story BORING!

I've read the whole of the Transfusion series to date, I have absolutely loved them and had decided to listen to them. The first 3 books had a wonderful narrator, Marya Freeman, full of emotion and fun. She had bought the characters to life and I loved listening to her. Unfortunately this narrator, Ellie Routledge, left me bored and confused.

Firstly, she's read the characters as English, erm... isn't Amelia American? Her voice was just a monotone which often confused me as to who was currently speaking. There was no spark or emotion and the whole story, which I know was amazing has just left me really disappointed.

Again I'm sorry to leave such a bad review but the story was spoilt for me and I won't be listening to any more of this series if they are read by this narrator. I am happy to spend money to listen to a book but won't pay for something that ruins this experience. I'll be using Alexa to read the rest of this series.

TERRIBLE NARRATOR!

I was so excited that they had found a new narrator and they were to put all the series on to audible however I wish they had stuck with the original now. The only thing they had got wrong in the first three was they portrayed Pip as an old lady, she just needed to listen to the Afterlife saga as the narrator had nailed it in so many ways.

I hate to put down any actor or narrator and always try to get through any issues however this is a big thing to first change the narrator part way through and then put in one that is dull and lifeless. I am sure in other books her work is ideal however this time it is so very wrong.

This narrator is English and reads like a robot, rarely getting the characters to differ enough from each other - I sometimes miss that it is Lucious telling us his side. There is little feeling in her voice and it spoils many of the magical moments between these two lovers. The story is awesome and I have read all the books but I love how audible can bring to life a story and gives the listener an immersed experience. Stephanie is the best author for this genre I have known, bringing to life her characters and their feelings. I am afraid this narrator is so flat that I may not be able to get the rest of the series and I feel bereft, After listening to Afterlife the narrator they would really work for this series too, what a shame.

Narrator spoils the the whole feel of the book
