About this listen

R'jaal has waited many turns of the seasons for his khui to resonate, only to be disappointed time and time again. But when he is taken captive by strange beings hiding in the very tunnels of the fruit caves, he wakes up to find himself in a strange underground cage.

Also in the cage? A very pretty unfamiliar human female. She says her name is Rosalind. She makes his khui sing.

It's finally his time.

There's a big problem, though—Rosalind has no khui of her own. And if she doesn't get one soon, she could die.

Contains mature themes.

I had no idea when I took a chance on a tik tok recommendation that Ice Planet Barbarians was going to take me on such a journey but here I am, I've lost count of how many books later. From ice planet barbarians to ice home, corsairs and fireblood dragons, we now we have ice planet clones, I don't know how Ruby Dixon manages to give each couple their very own unique story but she does. I'm in love with all these protective males who want nothing more than to simply take care of their female and family.
This author knows a good thing when she sees it too, sticking with Hollie Jackson and Mason Lloyd is the ultimate goals for the narration of her books. These two are outstanding and have given each and every book a truly epic performance, capturing each and every characters personality and emotions. although it's not essential, if you can afford the credits I highly recommend starting at the beginning series with ice plant barbarians and taking the reading from there, it's great to get glimpses of other characters you've spent time with and it adds depth to each and every book that follows. I love how Liz pops up, her no nonsense attitude and badassery make me smile every time we hear from her.

another great addition to the epic universe Ruby Dixon has created for us.
