About this listen

After traveling through time to solve a family mystery, she battles her attraction to a handsome highlander...

When a letter from her late grandmother sends Kara Forrester to Scotland to solve an ancient family mystery, she finds herself transported to 14th century Scotland. Arriving on the property of a dashing medieval laird, she must convince him that he can trust her - and work with her to prevent a looming tragedy.

Taking on the mantle of leadership of Clan Macleay in his cousin's absence, Ronan struggles with the breadth of his new duties.

After he comes across a mysterious bonnie lass on his property, he must determine if her warning of impending danger is true, of if she's using his attraction to her to play him false...

Ronan and Kara's fiery attraction - and growing love - soon puts them on a collision course with a dangerous enemy, a dark mystery, and the ever-present hands of fate...

OK-ish. A time-travel romance which is somewhat simplistic in both the writing style and plot, but it's definitely an easy listen which is what I needed.
.
.
A few thoughts:

I wasn't convinced people were sleeping around so much in the medieval times! Also, some of the language used in the sex scenes seemed a bit modern and unlikely. The main character refers to her grandmother as 'Alice' and I don't know why. It seemed a bit unusual.
.
The concept at the end seemed a bit different and imaginative.
.

I didn't feel like this was anything special at all, but I gave it 3 stars as I did enjoy it. The narration was excellent. The narrator gave Ronan a husky, quite sexy voice which probably helped!

A well-narrated time travel romance
