Summary

We last left Rumpole in his hospital bed after his sudden collapse in court. Now our hero finds himself in the Primrose Path nursing home - or a hospice as he persists in describing it. Always enjoy these, so well written , anecdotes on Horace Rumpole. This time , with the added advantage I hadn't heard these episodes before. For some reason much easier listening than the last Rumpole Audible I listened to..which seemed very indistinct..

The life and cases of our favourite Old Bailey hack are always entertaining and this collection doesn’t disappoint. Wily Rumpole exercises his long experience, honed on famous wins like the Penge bungalow murders, on a batch of new cases under the long-suffering gaze of She Who Must Be Obeyed and fueled by large quantities of Chateau Thames Embankment.

The performance by Bill Wallis is outstanding.
