Good story but found the heroine inconsistent and annoying so nearly dnf, can't get invested in series I'm afraid but do like other's by the same author

like the aurhor overall but heroine annoyed me

I just re listened to this book in preparation for the next two. as before I wish there was more of Jacob Morgans voice, he sounds so hotting. I'm not going to lie, while the Stephanie did a good job voicing the different characters, I did find her a little robotic when shes describing a setting or voicing the inner monologue. I did enjoy the book for the second time, it's every bit as good as the first time.

I enjoyed this story and it was well written. It wasn't too dark like some of the mafia books I've previously enjoyed. It has a happy ending.

This is Amelie and Luca's mafia dark romance with an arranged marriage to top it off. Amelie is a character that will wreck your heart, Luca is the bad by that will give you a whiplash. This couple is one you will not see up or down until it is all done. I like the fast-paced, the story kept me intrigued, I got the audiobook narrated by Stephanie Rose and the talented Jacob Morgan, so I was in for a treat, and it was delicious, one I recommend getting.
