About this listen

Having just found her sister, Sofia temporarily becomes a summoner combat tactics professor at a prestigious magic academy?!

Wait, this is still a book about skeletons, right? It is? Good.

But can Sofia really spend an entire year in one place without causing chaos? We all know the answer to that already.

What are the chances of her stealing the students' bones? Surely she would never!

In a place home to so much knowledge, could she learn more about the mysteries of this world, the admins, and the Deep?

It should have been a calm year, but with Sofia involved, the academy's higher-ups seem to be hiding something....

Overall a good series, which I'd recommend. The underlying plot, worldbuilding and progression aspects are all engaging. Also, stat screens don't crop up all that often, and when they do, they're easily skippable, since the audiobook is formatted with those as their own mini-chapters.

My only major gripe is that the dialogue is often stilted, and sometimes just outright cringe, with the last few minutes of the book being a prime example of that. This isn't helped by the narrator's tendency to over-emphasise certain words, which makes conversations sound even stranger.

Overall still worth listening to, IMO.
