Summary

This book really was a surprise. It's non stop action but in a good way. Lucky I was sick and had the time to listen almost nonstop. I cannot wait to hear what is going on in the universe in the 2nd book.

The MC is depicted as an unsociable loner and is to me honestly not very likable. The overall story is good and the combat is good. I did enjoy the variety of monsters which were pretty interesting

I love a good front line slaughter fest OP MC. It does what it says on the tin. Unfortunately I find it lacking in the parts that makes a good story. It's pretty much just one man going from one place to another to get stronger. There's no depth to the side characters. The leveling and insights are meh. It's got parts from your usual books like DOTF and Primal hunter but without the substance that make them great. Will still get book 2 to see if it gets better.
