About this listen

Five hundred years ago, I fell in love with a vampire. It was a crimson fever that consumed me. I gave up my home, my family, and my pack to be with her. She obliterated my heart at the first opportunity.

Our fates are bound whether I like it or not. If she dies, I die.

She may have a death wish, but I don't. When she decides to risk everything for revenge, I have no choice but to stop her and find a way to be free of the vow I made. But surviving the dangers of Ellnesari together might not have the outcome I expect. Instead of freedom, I learn who Manu Della Morte truly is, and that reignites a passion I thought I had lost.

Contains mature themes.

although a little disappointed that I've waited for ages to listen to the next book it did fill in the story of the characters in more detail. tbh not much happens and it ends abruptly in my opinion, I will keep an eye open for book 5 however long that takes.

enjoyable

I've found this series of books so enjoyable I've listened to them back to back over the last few days. Great storyline, characterisation and hot romance.

Book four Cleverly knits Everything together. Or should I say Nearly everything. And that is my one beef.
I think I'm right in saying that each of the previous books develops the story by focusing on two of the main characters and the seemingly impossible hurdles they have to overcome in coming together. Unlike books one to three, the intense pains and occasional pleasures of the rollercoaster ride the protagonists (and readers) endure doesn't reward us with a warm and happy ending. We're left hanging. Since this is rather a short book and it's easy to see how that relationship, if not the whole series could be Cleverly wrapped up in another hour or two, this seems rather mean.
Particularly as Book five is apparently not available on Audible. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement.
