Life on the prairie has never been easy, but now Oestend itself seems bent on destruction.

Ranch hands Simon and Frances came to Dante’s ranch to help him rebuild, but they’re beginning to think the place is cursed. This title was previously published by Total-E-Bound. The overall story remains unchanged, but with revisions to the Simon and Frances storyline.

This book approached some alternative relationship dynamics and situations that were interesting to have explored in a story. However, it rambled on and lost its pace, and the ending with the saving the world scenario just seemed really odd. It’s like the author wanted to write a second book, knew the situations they wanted to approach, then just blurted out a book and went with whatever ideas popped into their head, rather than thinking about what would make the best story.
