I'd never heard of Caroline Calloway, and bought this title on a complete whim- based on I don't know what. But it's brilliant! I don't know why it doesn't annoy me, because it ticks all the boxes for stuff that does, but I love it. Fizzing with character and charisma and a sort of demented, self aware propulsive drive. Lovely stuff.
