This is a lovely book. All the characters are richly drawn and the hero is someone that we want to spend time with.

Cannot recommend more highly.

A classic. Should be required reading.

It is a great adventure novel and it has great moments and great witty phrases. Good pace and tension and even a plot twist. The reader does his best though it sounds a bit silly sometimes. Overall is good and entertaining though the characters behave more than victorian englishmen than 18th century french. Still good fun.

Fun, sometimes brilliant, sometimes chiche..
