About this listen

Autumn, 1812: Certain his second proposal will be rejected, Darcy does not return to Hertfordshire–or to Elizabeth Bennet.

Spring, 1837: When his nephew falls in love with her niece, Darcy and Elizabeth are bound to meet again.

How many steps does it take to find a way back to the person you have always loved?

Dear Listeners: While I would characterize this book as one about love, light, and the happiness we can make for ourselves, the novel does contain non-graphic references to rape and incest. I understand that these are sensitive topics, and I would not wish for any listener to suffer as a result of coming across these references without warning. Many thanks to the reviewer who gave feedback on this topic.

With best wishes for all, Christina

I absolutely loved this variation. Honestly I think it’s probably the best of many I have read. We wait and wait and finally get what is promised. Elizabeth Grace carried out an excellent narration of the text. I have since purchased others narrated by her. For lovers of the P&P variations (of which I have unashamedly listened to many) I most highly recommend this one to you.

Brilliant narration of a most fabulous variation!

This is unlike many P&P variations I have read though it does have all our wonderful characters in.
At first I got a little confused with Lizzy Bingley and Georgiana's son Will. However the more I delved into the story (which I listened to on audio and the narration was BRILLIANT!) The more I grew to love this book. I do love how EB &FD finally came together after a long time due to lies and deciet but what a wonderful HEA!
I found myself going from tears to laugh out loud moments and much amusement.
I have just listened to it for the second time and know I will again in the near future.
If you enjoy a long interesting story with our favourite characters this is one for you. Great story, great narration!
Highly reccommend. ☺

Truly interesting variation

I read this book soon after it’s release and enjoyed it very much (as I have done with every book written by Ms Morland) although I remembered that there was a considerable amount of anguish which is not surprising considering the amount of time it covers. When I saw that Elizabeth Grace was to do the narration I didn’t hesitate to buy it and am so pleased I did - it’s a beautiful story enhanced by the perfect narrator.
I have several audiobooks that I listen to every year or so and this will definitely be added to that list!
Beautiful

Absolutely gripping story

I love this book and it was read very well! Will probably listen again as I’ve read the book many times!

My favourite P&P variation

Beautifully read and really engaging book, with a wonderful, detailed backstory. I felt fully invested in all the characters history. I would have loved to have known the outcome for the dear nephew and niece, however.

Excellent.
